Participating biology and chemistry teachers released for direct training outside of school as follows:

Year 1 (2010-2011)
2 days Form. Assessment training
2 days Literacy in Science Institute
3 days content training (biology & chemistry separate for content days)
1 day (Saturday) for pre-assessment (Praxis)
Summer 1 (2011)
3 days work with new Science standards
(Framework for new Common Core standards for science - summer 2011)

Year 2 (2011-2012)
4 days content/standards training
3 days site visits to Model/Demonstration Classrooms
Summer 2 (2012)
4 days developing/sharing classroom products (lesson plans, assessment items, etc.)

Year 3 (2012-2013)
2 days content/standards training
3 days of site visits to Model/Demonstration Classrooms
Summer 3 (2013)
