Laurie VanConia received her B.S. in Elementary Education and Deaf and Hard of Hearing degrees at Ball State University in Indiana in 1996. She received her masters’ degree in Early Childhood (IECE) from Murray University in 2007. Laurie taught in a resource room for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students in Indiana for four years before joining the team at the Kentucky School for the Deaf. She worked as a preschool teacher in the regional program located in Daviess County for twelve years. This past year she accepted a position as an educational consultant for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students. She is currently working with the northern GRREC area to provide appropriate services for students and assist other professionals as needed.
